Removable prosthodontics include dentures and partial dentures. In some cases of excessive teeth loss, they are the treatment of choice either in their classic form or supported by implants.

Fixed prosthodontics include the classic crowns, which are used to cover and protect a ‘weak’ tooth, when other more preservative methods can not be used. Many crowns connected in a row can replace missing teeth and that is called a dental bridge. It is cemented on natural teeth which are used to support it. A bridge has the same aesthetics and works equal to natural teeth.
